Grade 4: “Learning To Use Their Bible”
Students and Parents come for a time of learning and growing in the understanding and use of the Bible. We encourage opportunities for the students to really dig in and feel comfortable in reading the Bible. At the end of there class the students receive a Bible on Sunday mornings as a Special Milestone in their faith Journey.
Grade 5: 1st Communion
In 5th grade is when we do our First Communion instruction. The students and Parents together dig into the depths and meaning of the Love of Christ for All people. We look at communion as the Gift given to us by Jesus, how Communion Connects us with God's Saving Love, how Communion Feed us in Many Ways, and how Communion Prepares us to Serve Other. We end our time together by having a Seder Meal remembering the Passover and the Last Supper, then families gather together on Sunday Morning as they receive a special blessing and their First Communion!
